This new JJ 2008 Edition model design is based on the trends of today's demands and expectations of my fellow artisans such as Charles Fox, Kevin Ryan and Harry Fleishman, who have been my constant inspiration for excellence in design and hand-building of high quality guitars.
The new Bevel features at the lower bout of the guitar body have been added not just for elegance but more importantly for the playing cofort of the player. The ' Scalloped Cutaway' allows for the player to reach the higher positions of the fretboard while maintaining the original full size JJ body. The side pot is added to bring the guitar natural sound closer to the player. The overall volume of the guitar and the new bridge design underlined the total contour and unique shape of the JJ.
There are many options for the wood choices for the top, back & side tonewood available to suit each individual's preference.
Each and every Jeffrey Yong's guitar will have his signature and identity - To always be made to achieve quality of the highest degree in terms of tone, clarity and sustained power, while achieving the highest visual aesthetic designs.

Luthier Jeffrey Yong made his
first guitar in 1985 from a DIY kit and from there; he has acquired an
insatiable passion and love for natural wood and the sweet sound that he can
conjure from his guitar masterpieces.

Each instrument is individually handcrafted by me is from the finest materials and appointed with premium parts. The time needed to complete each instrument is between 1 to 3 months.
Due to the very limited number of instruments made each time, the waiting period is approximately 6 months or more from the day of confirmation on your order.
