This is a 1990 Josip Krog, Josip Krog is a well known German Master-Luthier (Meistergitarrenbauer) and only of and on one of his guitars pops up for sale. This guitar is based o a Torres model and relatively small, it features Indian rosewood back and sides, German spruce top, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, a striking rosewood bridge and headstock overlay. This guitar shows the signs of a Master-Luthier, the detailing is impressive, with rosewood binding and multiple rosewood-maple purfling and a striking marquetry wood rosette. The top is finished with shellac and the body is finished in nitro-cellulose. The guitar is very clean hence some dullness on the back from 23 years of playing. This is a very comfortable guitar, due to the size and scale that is just a little under 650mm (648mm) 52mm Neck Width, 650mm scale length. The sound is matured and strong, the sound palette colourful and the sustain long and strong. The liveliness is intriguing. The rounder yet crisp bass response is surprising for a guitar of this small size. This guitar will challenge you to explore your limits into a likely still undiscovered tonal journey. The guitar is in excellent condition with the exception of a little dullness and tiny scratches to the back, and some tiny dings to the top, lower bout, all in all this guitar is very clean. The playability is excellent with a medium low action of 4mm at the 12th fret. The guitar comes with a case and Includes 1 year warranty.
