K.yairi / YM800 / 1978 / Natural Finish / Guitar
For those not familiar with K.Yairi…he was the Japanese Master Luthier at Alvarez Guitars for decades…hence Alvarez-Yairi made in the 80’s thru the 2000’s. The original company started back in 1935. Its a Dreadnaught size guitar w/a fabulous Spruce top w/some nice rope style inlays around its outer border & its soundhole. Its back & sides are made from some stripped Mahogany w/a real 44 year old sound…just a full voice & killer mix of bass & treble tones. Its neck is very comfy w/its ebony fingerboard & matching bridge. Sounds like a good 50-60 year old D-28 w/fabulous highs & plenty of bass response. Age makes better guitars. No repairs ever, just some play time all over. She’s all original, excellent overall & comes in a decent hard case.
All K.Yairi’ guitars are handmade instruments originating from the small community of Kani, located in the Honshu mountains, Japan. The ‘K.Yairi’ guitar company is the brainchild of Mr.Kazuo Yairi, for decades a highly respected luthier internationally. He and his fellow luthiers make these impeccable instruments, where no effort is spared in creating the finest possible guitars. These are all genuine examples of master craftmanship & are made only from the finest materials available.
