Kramer Guitars is an American manufacturer of electric guitars and basses. Kramer produced aluminum-necked electric guitars and basses in the 1970s and wooden-necked guitars catering to hard rock and heavy metal musicians in the 1980s; Kramer is currently a division of Gibson Guitar Corporation.
Kramer was one of the great brands that helped shape the popular sound of Hard Rock and Glam Rock back the 80s. It exploded in popularity when it was used by Eddie Van Halen, Mötley Crüe's, Mick Mars to Whitesnake's Vivian Campbell. It has become an iconic model of the time. Kramer was using ESP Guitars exclusively for manufacturing its necks and bodies during the time this one was made. The "American Series" of instruments were ESP parts, assembled in Neptune, New Jersey.
The Lk-3 sports a kind of maple fingerboard model which was similarly used by Eddie Van Halen. Equipped with original Kramer pickups and is also wired with a push-pull pots which allow you to switch to the center position.
The guitar is in great condition, has some marks of use but nothing major that is worth noting, the pickups sound great and the tone is all it offers. The KLK-II Tremolo system works just as expected with no defects.
