eedy 1966 Dark Blue Sparkle Outfit :Sizes: 20/14, 12/8, 14/14.Shells: 3-ply Maple shells with Maple Reinforcing Rings. Finish: Original Dark Blue SparkleDetails: This kit is a great example of one of the rarer 60's marques. The bass drum is date stamped, and all three drums have blue oval badges. All three drums are bright and clean, and the wrap shows very few scuffs and signs of wear. The original dark blue sparkle wrap is deep and vivid.The chrome plated hardware is bright and clean, with just a little pin-point pitting.The kick drum wrap its tight, and clean, the colour is deep but shows a little change/fade from under the lugs. There is no damage, but there are some surface scratches The inside of the drum is immaculate, natural maple and is stamped MAR 66'. The bass drums hoops are original, and have not been re-painted. The inlay is original. The is minimal pitting on the 'art deco' style lugs and 'radio king' claws and T-rods.The 12" tom wrap is again bright, tight at the seem and the colour is deep. The finish looks a little more purple due to being less faded, There is no major damage, just a few small scuffs. The lugs show no pitting, and the chrome over brass hoops are excellent. Internally the tom is all original and clean, painted with factory 'coffee' finish.There is no date stamp. The tom is fitted with a slingerland style tone control. The 14" floor tom is in great condition, the wrap is again undamaged and tight at the seam. The colour is still clean and bright, again with some overall UV fade. It has the original leg mounts, although two have had stainless steel inserts fitted. The legs are original straight ones very little pitting or surface rust. The interior is again superb and 'coffee' painted with a 'P' stamp. Lugs and hoops are clean and relatively pit free. The slingerland tone control is present and works well.Heads; The kick has a new Remo Powerstroke 3 Coated and an original Logo reso.Toms have new Remo Coated Ambassadors top and bottomWhat We Say:What a stunning looking kit!! And not a make you see very often in the UK.The shells are in incredible condition and internally with clean original rounded bearing edges.The wrap is extremely clean, vivid and bright.The metal work is all very clean with minimal pitting.The kit sound s great and would make a great addition to any players or collectors set up.     More info and pictures www.rustydrums.co.uk
