This is a pre-Owned guitar, near mint condition except for one tiny ding to top. The guitar comes with many extra's like a Cutaway, K&K Pure mini, professionally combined to the Seymour Duncan Mag-Mic through one single stereo output. The signal can be split with a split cable, providing astonishing amplified tone. The ‘38’ SERIES is basically George Lowden's top of the line model, while the 50 series is the customized model, the 38 is lowden's standard top of the line model and one of the most Exclusive Guitars that left Lowden over the last years. Basically very luxurious, with mastergrade Brazilian rosewood back and sides (including CITES certificate that makes it legitimate all over the world) and stunnig mastergrade Dark Cedar. Regarding Brazilian, according to George he won't be able to make many more in the near future. It's are rare wood to say the least, and getting rarer by the day, certainly in this quality. The wood in this particular F-38c is beautifully grained, curly on the sides and quarter sawn on the back, George has a long waiting list for Brazilian rosewood guitars. Lowden Brazilian rosewood only comes from Natural fallen trees and old logs and it is getting harder and harder to come by. The 5 piece neck is laminated Mahogany & Rosewood. The Ebony Fingerboard is decorated with Leaf inlays, and the Cedar top shows a wide abalone trim besides the Sycamore binding. The tuning machines are Gold Gotoh 510 with Ebony buttons. The Heel-cap is matching Brazilian rosewood. The soundhole rosette shows Abalone inlaid. The nut is 45.3mmm (1 3/4") and the string spacing at the saddle is a 57 mm (2 1/4") This guitar has a 650mm (25.5") scale length. The tone is subtle and brilliant, powerful warm, with forever sustain and great substance only heard in very special guitars. The workmanship is superb.. Perfect to the last detail. Unmatched beauty combined with unheard tonal qualities is summing up the F-38c pretty well. Every 38 series guitar is signed by George Personally. In my view the 38 is certainly among the best instruments in our shop.. and looking back in ten years or so we would probably have wished to kept a few, and you would have wished having bought it after all!
