This is what you may they call a Master Grade Lowden, the F50 Custom with Bevel armrest, quite special, being made of George's special selection of matured & figured 'The Log' Mahogany, combined to a very dark Redwood top, added is George very special "Church Pew" mahogany. The guitar is pre-owned but mint condition. We sold it last year to our good friend Massimo in Italy who changed style and was in need for a smaller guitar. It features Mastergrade (AAAAA) quality Ancient Sequoia Redwood from the Giant Redwood tree, a tree that is often over 1500 year old. Back and sides are made of Flamed 'the Log' Mahogany similar to Honduras mahogany, a very rare wood, but finding naturally matured flamed mahogany this old is even rarer. According to George this Mahogany matured for decades. You will have a hard time finding a more beautiful, rare and fabulous sounding Lowden F style than this one, and yes you will have a hard time putting it down once you picked it up. It's powerful but also transparent and exceptionally well balanced, with subtle clarity, warmth, and piano like clarity, all covered in a juice of impressive dynamics contributing to a magic experience. The armrest-bevel is a hard to sculpture luthiers work of art, made of highly Figured Macassar ebony, and is all about comfort.
