Lowden / F-50C / 2013 / Guitar

Lowden F-50C armrest Bevel, Redwood-Honduras Rosewood, PU, COA, OHC   This Mastergrade F50C series with Armrest Bevel arrived today at our shop, now, every 50 series is special, but on this one we can sort of copy-past the last description of the F50C-RW/HR, and extra special is not an understatement. Mindnumbing tone, awesome and one of a kind looks. Custom options include a Bevel Armrest in Tasmanian blackwood, highlander pickup, cutaway and measurements that are just a bit better compared to standard for fingerstyle players, like the 58mm (2 9/32") fingerspacing at the bridge matched to a 45.1mm ( 1 3/4") nut width. Both the Honduras Rosewood and Redwood are selected Mastergrade (AAAAA) meaning they are selected on both looks and tone. We asked for the darkest possible Redwood. The bookmatched Honduras rosewood is of Mastergrade AAAAA (style 50) quality that is rare to find, and considered one of the closest woods in tonal response to Brazilian rosewood, Combine that wood with ancient Redwood (of AAAAA mastergrade quality) and heaven breaks open. The hardly found Mastergrade Redwood is one of those scarce and unknown tonewoods that combine Stunning looks with a unique tone i personally find the perfect mix of Cedar warmth and Adirondack 'bark'. Officially known as "Sequia Semperviren Americana" the Redwood tree is known to be the largest tree found worldwide, only found in California. Many people know it from Cars driving through a Tunnel made in on of this Ancient Californian Trees. This tree can get very old, and George his wood comes from Natural fallen trees or old logs, that very likely sprung from seed somewhere in the 1400's or 1500's.(imagine that!) A nice thought is that this historical piece of wood is almost symbolic for modern American history, from the times Indians were the only native people in California, up till the moment it is used by one of the best guitarmakers in the world! You will have a hard time finding a more beautiful, rare and fabulous Lowden F style than this one, and yes you will have a hard time putting it down once you picked it up. It's powerful with great balance, subtle clarity, sweetness and warmth, all covered in a juice of impressive dynamics creating a true mastergrade experience. And then the bevel, well that's modern feature, very hard to sculpture, is pure comfort and i'm sure any guitarplayer can imagine why. The Highlander pickup provides the best tone quality coming from a piezo style pickup. It's only used and installed by specialists but considered one of the best pickups availaible and George Lowden favours it for decades. Includes COA and Original Lowden Hiscox Case. Includes 21%VAT/BTW/MwST(fully deductible on purchase for buyers from outside the European Community) .   Basic specs Back/sides: Solid AAAAA Honduras Rosewood Top Wood: Solid AAAAA Sequia Redwood Fingerboard: Bound ebony Neck Wood: 5 piece Mahogany-Rosewood Body Binding:  Flamed Tasmanian Blackwood Bevel armrest: Flamed Tasmanian Blackwood Fingerboard Binding: Ebony with Maple Purfling Headstock Bindings: none Fingerboard Inlay: None (side inlays) Soundhole inlay: Abalone with Tasmanian Blackwood Bridge: Ebony Headstyle:  Solid GL style Headplate: Solid Ebony with underlay Pickup: Highlander IP1 Purfling: Rosewood-Mahogany-Maple Back Strip: Tasmanian Blackwood-Mahogany-Maple-Ebony Tuners: Gotoh 510 with ebony knobs Body Size: F (grand Auditiorium/small Jumbo)  Scale: 6520mm (25.5") Nut Width: 45.1mm (1 3/4")  String Spacing: 57.9mm (2 9/32")  Lower Bout: 404mm (15.9") Body Depth at Tail Block: 120mm(4.3/4")             Need more information Call us on 0031523-232205, or send a message. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
