If you are looking for a nice & small singer-songwriter guitar with a unique face and a big mouth, well don't look further. This 1997 Lowden S-35 has all of that, Amazing looks with Hawaiian Koa of a quality impossible to find any-more these days due to the scarcity of Koa, but also a unique feature like a slotted head(!), Sitka Spruce top Mahogany 5 piece neck, It's not new, in fact it's almost 17 year old, but it's pampered and handled like a small baby and virtually new condition. Despite her small size with incredible Volume and tone that seems to come out of the dungeon. Due to the size its a bit more compressed but this guitar proves again it's not a disadvante being small and small guitars are certainly not lesser in volume. The character is different for sure, a bit more concentrated on balance and mids, but with almost growling character.

Intriguing features include the all wood binding and purfling, the combination abalone rosette with genuine wood purfling rings, 5 piece Mahogany neck with rosewood and maple splines, the famed dolphin bracing, incredibly comfortable for singer song-writers,  with a 14-fret neck with comfortable medium C-shape, ebony bound ebony fingerboard with side dots only, well 'minimalism' is George Lowden's middle name and it must be said, there is no better shaped guitar on the planet than Lowden's 'S' model. It's the 'Porsche among Volkswagens' and not only by looks but also by performance. Lowden is unbeatable in many ways, the Koa character brings a sweetness and mellowness to the tone that is quite unique, and makes it an intimate guitar you can play for hours on your own. It's a short-scale with 650mm(25.5") scale length, combined to a comfortable 45.5mm (1 25/32") nut width and 56mm string spacing at the saddle. A nice detail is the Koa Headstock facing, slotted head and 3-on-a-plate tuners. This is an absolute Winner on the Singer-songwriter podium but also a great fingerstyle guitar. The guitar is close to Mint condition, virtually no wear and with original Case and certificate. Sells new over 5500 Euro.
