Lowden / Wee-35, Sequoia Redwood - Rosewood / 2015 / Guitar
Ok for starters, this guitar is officially 'pre-owned' (hence the good price/normal streetprice ca. 4390€) but used for less than a year, then traded with us for another guitar. It is in virtually unplayed condition and it comes with a 1 year warranty. And it's not a 'normal' Wee. It's a '35' wee, with Redwood top and rosewood back and sides, and premium AAAA tonewood. There is actually a lot to be said about the Wee, but the words George says about the guitar (below) capture the essence of the Wee. Truly an amazing guitar, almost as small as a Terz guitar, but with a big voice.
Like Every Lowden detailed to perfection and beautifully voiced. With solid Indian rosewood back and sides, solid and ancient Sequoia Redwood top, 5 piece mahogany neck, bound ebony fingerboard and rosewood bridge with split saddle. The combination of Redwood with Rosewood adds 'bigness' and clarity to the tone. Woow this is truly a great small guitar, surprising in every way, and overwhelming the first time you lay hands on it, 'baby small' and light to travel with, the utmost ideal singer-songwriting guitar, but then again also perfect for fingerstyle although it handles strumming equally well.
With Hiscox Case. Including 1 year TFOA warranty to the original owner, and including 21% BTW/VAT/MwSt.
What George says about the Wee:
"I have been dreaming about designing a truly ‘small’ guitar for quite a while - but as usual I wanted the sound to be anything but small! The final design focused on voicing the bracing and soundbox geometry so that the voice was even and smooth without the ‘boxiness’ sometimes overly evident in small guitars. Thus the Wee Lowden was born!".
The Fellowship Of Acoustics, Netherlands
ABOUT US
I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
