This is our lovely, RARE 1955 Magnatone Troubadour 8-string lap steel with its original hardshell case. This is a ONE OWNER electric lap steel. The Troubadour was made by Magnatone for only one year. They are a hard find and don't stay on the market long, hence my excitement to find one in my 'hood. It is a Maple-bodied lap steel and is fully functional. Pretty standard set-up, with a volume & tone knob and a single "metal pickup". When I took her for a spin before I pulled the trigger, I was blown away. Sounds like it was made and set up YESTERDAY. Clean, Hawaiian country twang. I'm a steel sucker. Jesus, take the wheel! The lap is in good condition. It has vary scuffs and scratches that plays into its mojo.
