All of MarkosTube pedals are made with 100% valve. They do not use any transistor or integrated circuit design. And like the rest of MarkosTube products, they are implemented with high quality materials.
The Tube Drive 12AX7/ECC83 using valve fed with high voltage (over 300V) as if working on a standard amplifier; to ensure high stability in high gain settings.
This pedal can be used as an amplifier to attack.
It has six user-friendly controls: Volume, Tone, Gain, Cliping, Boost and Tone EQ (cutting frequency). With the Gain low and the high volume, we can get a clean sound but with lots of character, enough to saturate the input of your amplifier. If we go up the Gain to stop and we lowered the volume control, the 12AX7 Tube Drive delivers a high-gain sound.
The Cliping generates a cut using germanium diodes or silicon diodes, in the middle position, the sound is pure valve.
The Boost gives you more gain to the audio input of the pedal.
And finally the Tone EQ, enhances the mid frequencies, experiencing these last three controls you can find extensive nuances of sounds .-

Much of this manufacturing process is done by hand, selecting the appropriate components for each of them, making each product unique.
All our pedals are True Bypass, using a heavy duty DPDT. They feed on 12V, but they have an internal Switching Power input voltage rises to 300Vcc, as if the valves wereworking on a standard amplifier to ensure stability at high gain settings.
This is the only way in which a valve can develop many of the properties that make it sodesired, sensitivity, harmony and tonality. Allowing the pedal results in a large variety of sounds, from warm and rich overdrive harmonics up to a dense and full-bodied distortion.
