Martin / 1969 D-35
The D-35 with Martin's first three-piece back body was prototyped in 1965 and officially announced in '66. At the beginning of the release, the D-45 and D-41 were not released, so they are the second highest models after D-28.
Binding is applied not only to the body but also on the neck, featuring a high -quality look unique to the upper model.
This time, S/N #2454XX was available in 1969 with a specification of a square rod, a large Hakaran d'vridge plate, and a globe with a stamped "PAT PEND" stamp.
Hakaranda (Brazilian rosewood) is used for the body material.
Since it has been changed to East Indian Rosewood from this time, Hakaranda individuals are overwhelmingly small and rare than the D-18 and D-28, which is much longer than the D-35, and are very valuable individuals. I am.
As a characteristic of the 3-piece back, the bass is reduced compared to the D-28, and a more bright tone can be obtained. In addition, the characteristics of the only one and only Hakaranda material are added, the separation is good, and the brightness of the treble and the bulge of the sound are increasing.
The D-35 is a model that has also gained high popularity and reputation in the Japanese fork scene in the 70's, and is slightly lower than the D-28. It is said that it contributed to the range. I think that it is a perfect model for musicians in the play -style style because it can handle a well -balanced manner from the stroke to the finger.
In terms of exterior condition, it is a dignified dignity in which the weather check that has entered the whole is astringent. The pickguard is replaced, there is a Martin crack under the guard, but it is reinforced by a patch.
The condition of the neck and Kibe is inspected and adjusted by an acoustic guitar professional craftsman, and all parts are good.
The neck is adjusted straight and has no vibration or clogging, and the string height on the 12th fret is set to the optimal state of 2.2 mm on the 6 string side and about 2 mm on the first string side.
The remaining saddle is about 2.5mm.
The lean feeling of painting is also unique to vintage, and you can enjoy a crisp sound, a glossy sound/volume/sustain peculiar to the Hakaranda body. A slightly thicker neck is reliable, and the sound with a mid -range core is comfortable.
