Now in Stock: 1959 Gibson J-50
Custom options/Upgrades:
Built like a true pre-war, with Adirondack and Madagascar rosewood replacing the Brazilian rosewood, but all the way 'Authentic' style, meaning with: T-Bar and full Hide glue package. This D model comes in fact with the same bracing pattern. The 12 fret to the body create a 'monstrous' big sound! And I'm sure you agree a kind of tone you never experienced before, and an eye opener too because your reference will be shattered. That is of course, if you acknowledge that the pre-war Martin Dreadnought is still the tonal reference for every guitar on this planet. The Tone is simply amazing resonant, punchy and powerful but still the start of a unknown journey, since Adirondack needs more time to open up. And this Custom Shop interpretation of the traditional 12 fret 1931 Dreadnought is simply amazing. Features include Adirondack top and braces, Madagascar rosewood back and sides connected to a Spanish Cedar neck with T bar reinforcement and a Madagascar fingerboard complete the package. Beautiful flamed Hawaiian Koa bindings complement the natural beauty. This light weight beauty produces heavyweight tone.
The guitar features: 12 Fret Dovetail, Solid Adirondack Spruce top, Standard ''X'' Scalloped golden era Style bracing, Solid Adirondack Spruce 5/16'' bracings, Solid Madagascar Rosewood back and sides, Solid Flamed Hawaiian Koa endpiece, Solid Flamed Hawaiian Koa binding, Special hand carved and shaped neck profile, Bone nut and saddle, Solid/Diamond/Square Taper headstock, Solid Madagascar Rosewood headstock overlay, Solid Madagascar Rosewood fingerboard, 645mm (25.4") Scale Length, 46.3mm (1 13/16'') width at the nut, Style 21 - Select Abalone Squares pearl fingerboard inlays, Solid Madagascar Rosewood belly bridge, Waverly Open-Geared tuners with ebony knobs, Bone w/ Select Pearl Dots pins, Delmar Tortoise Colour pickguard, 545E Geib style special custom shop case. At this point the only one available in Europe. Except for a tiny lacquer ding to the back of the headstock, virtually mint condition.

The Fellowship Of Acoustics, Netherlands
ABOUT US
I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
