This is an amazing find & a great example of what Martin specialized in…making such fabulous sounding Dreadnaught models of all types. This is a very special 51 year old D-12-35 S 12-Fret 12-String model in fabulous all original shape. This is the last of the coolest early D-35’s having a super clean very grainy Spruce top. Its bookmatched Indian Rosewood back & sides are simply gorgeous w/colorful stripes down all 3 back panels. Its absolutely crack & repair free w/no pickgard shrink crackles at all. Its 1 piece mahogany neck is a solid 1 7/8″ at the nut & very flat, the perfect neck that plays great & has a great neck angle. Its Ebony Dot inlaid bound fingerboard & bridge are also perfect w/no issues other than the bridge appears to be slightly shaved. Its original tuners hold tune well. This is a dream guitar for most anyone seriously wanting the best 12-String there is w/its larger body for super sound quality. This is also the best sounding D-12-35 we have ever encountered. Its Incredible ! Other than a few tiny marks in the lacquer here & there, she’s truly Near Mint overall & comes in its original Black Tolex Blue Lined hard case.
