Martin / D-18 1949 / 1949 / Guitar
Martin D-18 (1949) Excellent condition, Martin Case
1949 Martin D-18. We bought this guitar and the '45 D-28 from one of our longtime collector friends, and like all his guitars, this guitar is in excellent condition too. Actually very rarely seen in a 64 year old Martin D-18. Yes it's crack-free also and all original on top, no changes have been made to this guitar over it's long history. It features Honduran Mahogany back and sides, an a nice wide grain Sitka spruce top, Honduran mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, Original Kluson tuners. This is a big sounding guitar with colorful tone, and focussed matured power, crisp and matured and very powerful, with elegant persistant but rounded trebles that produce a tone that make you realize there is no match for it found in a new guitar. Erwin- our bluegrass shop-repairman is planning a robbery to get his hands on this gutiar he says - A wonderful condition guitar also, with relatively little wear, some heavy pick wear under the pickguard and a bit around the soundhole, some wear on the back and small dings, but crack free and actually clean and fresh both inside and out- with original Small maple Bridge-plate in excellent condition, plenty of saddle with an excellent set-up, with a soft V neck that is infact quite modest in thickness compared to others, but gets bigger and rounder further up the neck, set up with 13s that make it sound monstrous, braces are all well glued and not in need for repair, full hide glue construction, Iron T Bar, beautiful aged honey colour top. No need for a neck reset that already has been done some time ago, comes with a Perfect straight neck, and excellent height frets. The guitar is all original including tuners, finish, very light in weight also. And It sounds fabulous, incredibly loud and balanced, played in- with seemingly limitless headroom. This impressive and Powerful '49 D-18 with plenty of character is now up for sale. With Later Martin case.

The Fellowship Of Acoustics, Netherlands
ABOUT US
I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
