This is a really nice and rare to see item, especially in over here in the UK - This is a LOVELY 100% original 1976 Martin D-28 acoustic guitar in RARE factory sunburst or shaded top it is a superb sounding guitar and what’s more, as far as I can tell, it is 100% original and largely crack free!
Rare to see the most desirable model - the D-28 in factory sunburst from this era. You very occasionally come across a couple of D-35’s but not so often the D-28.
It is TOTALLY crack free and in excellent condition - there are just a few very tiny dings here and there (see pictures). Overall though I would say it is pretty clean and in quite lovely condition.
It really is a beautiful sounding classic Martin and has the classic Martin dreadnought sound together with a lovely soft C shape neck that is so comfortable. Action is excellent and perfectly playable at under 3mm on the bass side, less on the treble with still lots of room on the saddle to make it lower. It does NOT need a neck reset and there is no bellying. Serial number dates to 1976 and is 383967.
This is a rare opportunity. You just do not see these rare shaded top Martin’s and especially in this great condition.
Included is a period correct hard case from the 70'’s which protects the guitar very well. Not sure if it is a Martin case but it has been with the guitar a very long time.
