This is a highly unusual & perhaps one of the very final original D-35’s made w/the very last of the pre-1969 Brazilian Rosewood Martin had in stock just after Martin started to buy all of its future Rosewood from India. Its got a well worn spruce top still sporting its original pickgard. Its gorgeous Brazilian 3 piece back w/its matching Brazilian side panels are a perfect specimen of colorful striped woods. Its got a killer feeling 1 piece Mahogany neck w/an ornate crazy cool custom inlay completely covering its ebony fingerboard & still retaining its original bridge. It’s sporting a set of Grover tuners & they hold tune well. There are 2 long repaired lower bout crack repairs. The Brazilian Rosewood planks were used by the factory until they ran out of stock & just like w/fingerboards used by Martin, Fender & Gibson, some leftover Brazilian was on their shelves & used up accordingly thru the early 70’s. This is one of the last Martin D-35’s w/late 60’s Brazilian Rosewood we’ve ever acquired, it left the factory by very early 1970. She’s a stunner to look at…she plays & sounds incredible. Overall she’s Very Good & she comes w/a generic case.
