D-41 S Martin guitars were made between 2004 and 2011 so this is a first year model.

This is a great sounding Martin. The D-41 S model combines the features of the standard D-41 model with some mode old-style specs from the Vintage Series instruments. The most important of these is a forward shifted scalloped brace layout for the Sitka Spruce top, which helps to create a more open tone then many 21st century rosewood Dreadnoughts.

The D-41 model has a beautiful abalone inlay around the top edge and soundhole rosette, with ivoroid bindings around body, neck and headstock.

The Special additionally features lovely cut pearl snowflake fingerboard inlay and a long through vintage style saddle.

The neck profile of this Martin is a "modified V" and is very comfortable to play. Heel cap : grained ivoroid.

The headstock is faced with the vertical "CF Martin" abalone inlay and fitted with gold plated Martin branded open back tuners with butter bean buttons.

There is an active pick-up installed. The ivoroid end pin is in the guitar case.

This D-41 S guitar is in near mint condition. There are minimal signs of playware on the top and on the back of the headstock.

There are no creaks. Besides the installement of the pick-up , no modifications or repairs have been done

The frets are in good condition and the action is low. Excellent playability.

This is a nice addition to any guitar collection and a solid investment.
