Martin / D-45 / 2009 / Guitar

Two years ago Martin realized they had to offer similar quality and reinvented the Pre-war D-45 by offering the D-45A Authentic (priced at $60,000- list) and offer Hide Glue construction and T-bar standard on Pre-war style Guitars as a custom option - but only on higher price level guitars. This is one of the nicest Martin D-45 that ever past our shop. Finding a guitar so close to the original specs of the Martin D-45 pre-war (in Europe!) with Hide glue construction and T-bar is very rare and only a handful of these very special guitars were made up till now. This Martin D-45 is based on the 1833 custom series or the D-45GE series if you like but with Madagascar Rosewood instead of Brazilian rosewood- so it's perfectly legal to own. It also has some of those extravagant pre-war extras like the T-Bar, full Hide Glue construction and Martin AAAAA mastergrade 8 Adirondack spruce top.  being a collectors guitars its still Mint unplayed condition, featuring amazing Selected Madagascar Rosewood,  Select Pearl and Abalone, fossil nut, saddle & bridge-pins, gold Waverly Tuning machines, modified V-shape neck, and it's with the comfortable 43 mm (1-11/16") nut, 645mm (25.4") scale length, 55mm (2 1/8") at the bridge, 5ply Geib style case. Describing the guitar as "Beautiful" is a understatement when talking about this 'Ferrari' it's simply the best of the best and the only difference with the praised Martin D-45 Authentic is the highly regarded Madagascar rosewood back and sides that substitutes the Brazilian rosewood. Knowing how similar complex the sound of Madagascar is, this guitar offers basically everything the True Golden offers.. an impressive tonal spectrum, a deep growl, bell like highs, and the most impressive headroom you can imagine.   Its  a very rarely that one of the only few pre-war Martin D-45 ever made come up for sale. In the vintage guitar world, it's the number 1 or 2 investments, in the long term considered even a better investment than the Gibson Les Paul standard '59. Only 89 D-45 14 fret, and 2 D-45 12 fret were ever made in the pre-war era. They are very sought-after and prices reach  $250,000-$300,000- and have a strong upwards tendency. Considering Pre-war D-45 guitars sold for about $15,000 in 1985, these are considered one of the best investments in any asset class over the last twenty-five years.      Basic specs                 Solid Adirondack spruce top grade 8. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
