This is a Martin D-45 custom made from 1994, a rarity for the era that marks the beginning of the new 'Martin Golden Era'. A top notch Steel string guitar that is build in the tradition of the pre-war D-45 models, that will compete with every high end Martin guitar that they made over the last 20 years or so. First it's near mint condition and a truly amazing tone-machine. It looks and sounds amazing in every aspect, open, crisp, big, balanced, rich and complex are only a few words describing this guitar. This guitar features amazingly grained old growth Brazilian rosewood back and sides, with Martin Provenance certifying the wood was cut way before 1969, Engelmann spruce top, Mahogany neck, bound ebony fingerboard with Abalone snowflake position inlay, ivoroid bound headstock with Abalone CFM Martin Block inlay, Ivoroid bound body sided with abalone trim on top, sides, along the heel, fingerboard extension, and on the back, ebony bridge with snowflake inlays.
What makes this guitar quite unique is the mix of Prewar and modern features, scalloped bracing and a standard X, the Engelmann spruce top, none of them is a exact copy of traditional pre-war specs but somehow this guitar is extra ordinary from a tonal perspective, and i can imagine, since i have a preference for standard X position above Forward shifted. This guitar is overwhelming, powerful and beautiful at the same time, impressively crisp in the bass, and with a matured openness that most people used to newer guitars will have a hard time recognizing the sound. It's definitely capable of the flatpicking king of the band killing the loud banjo, but it also defines strumming in a new and is perhaps even more suitable as a perfect fingerstyle guitar-mate. The guitar is signed 'CF Martin IV on the custom label' and is in near mint condition. The playability is really awesome with low action, and lots of saddle left to lower further. Features include a 43.2mm (1 11/16") nut width, 645mm(25.4") Scale length and 55mm (2 1/8") fingerspacing at the saddle. The neck is a modified C shape, and the guitar travels in the original Martin Case.

The Fellowship Of Acoustics, Netherlands
ABOUT US
I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
