Martin D-45, serial#1083249, 2005, Near Mint condition, really very well take care of, and except for a few angelhair signs of use, in near mint condition. This is the utmost fabulous and sophisticated beauty made by Martin, well of course you buy a nice custom made or limited edition, but these Standard D45, also known as the 'king of flattops' is one of the most dignified and sophisticated sounding guitars you can find on planet earth, no doubt. And we never had so much choice having 4 of these in stock! I can guarrantee you that it is not only the extra shell inlays that makes it look different, but it is indeed the sound that makes the greater difference. Martin only uses Grade 8 tonewoods for the D-45, and that is in Martin terminologie 'the best of best' or what other luthiers would refer to as 'mastergrade' tonewood or 'private reserve' or whatever nice name they came up with over the years. This wood is only available from Martin for the D-45 and on Custom order guitars if specifically specified in the custom order. Once you played it, you know why it is different...it's simply better. The guitar features impressively grained Solid Indian Rosewood back and sides and Sitka spruce top, Standard x brace with scalloped bracing, with low profile neck and 43mm (1 11/16" nut) 645mm (25.4") scale, Body, neck and headstock bound in Ivoroid, ebony fretboard and bridge, Body bound on top, side and back in Abalone, Fingerboard inlaid with Large Hexagons inlays, peghead inlaid with C F MARTIN block letters in Abalone, Abalone rosette, Mosaic back-strip, Tortoise pickguard. Natural gloss finish, gold enclosed gears. Includes a luxurious custom ordered Martin Geib style case. A most impressive guitar and Martin's top of the line of all times! Commission sale.
