Martin / D-76 "lefty" Bicentennial Commemorative Limited Edition / 1976 / Natural / Guitar
WOW what a find, this is 1 of the coolest collectible Martin guitars ever produced, gorgeous Spruce top w/its Herringbone Rosette & solid black pickgard, its ebony fingerboard has “Star” inlays & has no play time at all, its 3 piece Indian Rosewood back & sides have incredible striping & color, its headstock has an Eagle inlay w/chrome Grover tuners, this example was made for our Bicentennial & 1976 guitars were produced, there were just 98 pieces made for Martin’s employees working for them at the time, this was the very final example (E98) of these made & it is a factory left handed model, it’s designated w/an “E” on its factory label signed by C.F.Martin III & on its brass plate tacked to its heel area inside having its serial # & Model listed, this is like a new guitar in all respects having only a slight shrinkage of its pickgard, otherwise there is no wear to it at all, truly near mint !, this has got to be the ultimate “Lefty” for any flat top player/collector wanting the very last employee built limited Run guitar that happens to be a left handed version, it comes with its matching original minty Blue molded hard case.
