Martin / D41 / 2003 / Guitar

Martin D41 from 2003. This gorgeous Dreadnought boasts a solid spruce top that is hand-joined to lustrous rosewood back and sides. Abalone inlays in the rosette and ebony fretboard, combined with full binding and gold hardware, make the D-41 as sumptuous to gaze upon as it is to play. Style 41 was introduced in 1969 with the very first prototypes still using Brazilian, it was also actually fancier than the earlier (pre 1943) style 42 with it's fingerboard and headstock inlays. The best way to tell style 41 and style 42 apart however are that style 41 does not feature abalone inlay surrounding the fretboard. Condition of this pre-loved guitar is Good; it has a fair amount of dings, playwear and other signs of use in the finish of both the body and neck, small sections of the body binding have some lacquer chips, the frets look fine, a centerseam Split has been repaired, added strap button on the heel, previous strap button hole on heelcap has been filled in with pearl dot inlay. The playability and action is perfect on this guitar, the saddle has plenty of room left and with already 15 years under it's belt this is indicative of a very stable and structurally sound instrument. As an added bonus an AER AK-15 Plus has been installed which makes this guitar perfectly suited for use on stage. Includes original hardshell case. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
