Martin / D45S Deluxe Limited Edition #35 Of 50 / 1992 / Guitar

Maybe you've already seen her in one of our most recent "New Arrival" video's on Youtube; a stunning Martin D45S Deluxe Limited Edition from 1992. The Martin D-45S Deluxe was one of their Guitars of The Month made  in 1992, it was based on the 1937 version of the D-45S 12-fret slope-shoulder dreadnought with a solid (non-slotted) peghead. Only 50 of these beauties were ever made, and this is one bears number #35 on its label. Abalone enthousiasts are going to have a field day with this instrument as it features; abalone body trim surrounding even the fingerboard extension on the top, abalone multi-ringed rosette, abalone backstrip, abalone endpin wedge, abalone surrounding the heel, abalone trim on the side of the neck, heelcap and headstock, abalone fingerboard and headstock trim, abalone Martin block letter logo inlay on the headstock, styl-45 abalone position markers, abalone snowflake inlays on the bridge and even abalone "M" inlays on the ebony buttons of the gold plated closed back tuners! We might have just established a new record for the amount of times we used the word "abalone" in one sentence there. The ivoroid bindings on the body, fretboard and headstock serve as a nice contrast to the abalone. But even when you close your eyes you'll be impressed with this instrument. The 12-fret dreadnought body, made using premium Solid Indian Rosewood back and sides paired to a premium Solid Sitka Spruce top, offers up a typical full-bodied, airy, powerful and rich tonal character. The C- shaped mahogany neck feels extremely comfortable and offers plenty of space for fingerpickers and flatpickers alike with a 46mm (1 13/16") nutwidth and 59mm (2 5/16") string spacing. Condition is absolutely amazing considering it is from 1992, officially excellent because of some very small angelhair signs of use but otherwise collectors-grade! Includes original hardshell case. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
