It’s been played plenty and it sounds it, just gorgeously robust and large and clear in every possible way. The D-28 is one of the all time classic Martin dreadnoughts. The HD-28 is a D-28 with added Herringbone purfling and a zig-zag backstripe. Martin has released a number of variations on the original HD-28 since its introduction in 1976. The HD-28 remains one of Martin's most popular guitars.
