Martin / JDP / 2011 / Guitar

The JDP II, a seeming "plain Jane" in appearance, But is anything "plain' in sonic proportians. Every decision in the construction of this instrument is an exponent of sound and every appointment is dedicated to yielding fabulous tone at maximum volume. The most impressive feature is that Most impressive Italian Spruce Top cut at Val Di Fiemme! (From the Same valley Stradivari got his wood) This wood is particulary rare and valuable due to the limited quantities available. (It's only cut at full moon!) The sound of this wood is breathtaking and nothing like Adirondack or Sitka spruce. The Martin Jumbo body shape was choosen because of its tight-waisted profile, which provides even tonal balance equal to that of the OM model, but her depth giving it a blasting power. The genuine Mahogany instruments gives the guitar a much brighter sound than their rosewood counterparts, and the clarity is rich and distinct, combine this with the royal tone quality's of Italian Spruce and you can imagine what an extraordinary tone this instrument is providing. Adding to the vibrant tone of the JDP II the body is finished with full gloss genuine nitrocellulose lacquer, while the neck's satin sheen allows for fast movement and fretting. Two obvious visual features of this magnificent jumbo are the slotted headstock with Waverly tuners and large soundhole. Both of these features make the guitar louder; the strings traveling from a slotted headstock to the bridge exert more downward pressure on the nut due to the increased angle, hence, more resonance. The large soundhole is like having a big mouth! The "sun" Rosette gives this instrument distinguished looks.. It's a Wulf in Sheep cloths The JDP II is an obvious player's choice. Drawing from Diane's rich knowledge of tone woods and "global laps" of experience as a Martin clinician, she has shared her vision by blending classic and contemporary design features to create this unprecedented combination.  Other features are Tortoise body binding, tortoise OM-style teardrop pickguard, rosewood bridge, hybrid X scalloped braces (5/16", forward-shifted). Low profile neck, ebony fretboard 43mm (1-11/16" widt at the nut) 645mm (25.4") scale leg, pearl dot position inlays, Waverly tuning gears. Inside label is signed by Diane. Comes with Martin HSC. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
