Martin / N-20 / 1969 / Guitar
Martin N-20, 1969, Brazilian Rosewood-Spruce, Trigger's sister, Case,
This is rare... actually it's very rare. Only a 'handful' are known to be made with these specifications, to be exact in 1968 only 3 were made, and in 1969 262 were made.
Willy Nelson continuously keeps on playing a bigger hole in one of the most famous guitars on the planet, his famous Martin N-20 called 'Trigger'. And this is Trigger's sister, also a '69 N-20 with serial number #245738 and quite the opposite from 'Trigger' in terms of play-wear. Its perhaps the cleanest on the planet judging my experience were only 1 in every so many 40+ year old Martin guitars are in a condition close to that of this N-20. It is -and that's an understatement- very clean, One crack on the back (photo) that runs alongside the back-centerseam- is repaired. Also the reason why it's not visible from the inside because of the wood-strip covering the centerseam. A few small dings (see photo top of head) and a few tiny marks of a hanger (same photo). Almost no visible wear to the frets, body and top. All original finish, and excellent playability with a great neck angle and lots of saddle left. The guitar really looks as if it has been resting in its case for many of her 44 years or has only been played with gloves on.
This wonderful Nylon strung guitar is feather-light, and produces a rich and vintage tone that breaths sould. Airy, open, woody and singing single notes are words that come to mind when playing this wonderful little Martin, with a deep and defined bass, singing but rounded and fat trebles, a powerful balanced mid, definitely a classical attack with separation of tones that's typical for these instruments make this N20 definitely one of the loveliest and intriguing Nylon guitars on the planet. 645mm(25.4") Scale length, 50mm(1 24/25") width at the nut, and 60mm (2 3/8") string-spacing at the bridge. The quality case is not original.
*Note: Not all 1969 Martin were made with Brazilian back and sides, the last serial for the year was #256003, and officially the last Martin made with Brazilian back and sides was #254497 (the first for the year 1969 was #241925). This is serial #245378.

The Fellowship Of Acoustics, Netherlands
ABOUT US
I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
