Now in Stock: Martin OM-18 Authentic, also referred to as OM-18A, This is Martin's ultimate Recreation of their prized 1933 pre-war OM-18. Made exactly like the pre-war guitar, with solid Honduran Mahogany back and sides, solid Adirondack top, forward shifted X-brace, Scalloped according to 1933 style, hide glue construction throughout, ebony fingerboard with small abalone position dots, ebony bridge with Long fossilized ivory saddle, Solid black Ebony nut, tortoise pickguard under the finish, and to be absolutely clear about it: The neck is reinforced with the favored traditional non-adjustable T-bar, Other small details are the fossil ivory nut and saddle (either wallrus or Mammoth) 45mm (1 3/4") width at the nut, 645mm (25.4") scale length, 60mm (2 3/8") fingerspacing at the bridge, ebony bridge pins, 1930's style brown hardshell case This composition of small 1937 details add up to a most wonderful guitar and the impressive tone is a worthwhile investment, over time this vintage recreation will only impress more and more. To our opinion there is nothing closer to the pre-war OM so far..
