Now in Stock:  Martin OM-45 DLX Authentic style. (2)

Custom features/Upgrades/Remarks:  Custom made.

Yes two of these unique OM-45 Deluxe Models were made back in 2008 and ordered at the same time. With consecutive serial Numbers: this one is #1390907 (the other one #1390906) Both ended up for sale at the same time.  These are the 2 first Custom Shop Martin with Hide-glue, Pickguard under finish pickguard, floral pickguard pattern, torch, long diamond options, a close reproduction of the original model and could be compared with the Authentic Serie. The Adirondack spruce top and Madagascar rosewood back and side are specially selected for this guitar.  There are only small differences between the two. Please compare and read carefully. First this guitar is MINT condition. The guitar is based on the 1930's Martin OM-45 Deluxe of which only 14 of these instruments were originally made in the 1930's.  In 1998, an additional 14 OM-45 Deluxe guitars were made, called "Limited Edition OM-45 Deluxe Golden Era." The reissue guitars were exact look-a-likes of the original series, but in contrary to the original not equipped with the much appreciated hide glue and T-bar as it wasn't available at the time. "Our" OM-45 deluxe is equipped with these prewar 'Authentic series' features.

This faithful-to-original OM-45 Deluxe features a mastergrade (grade 8) Adirondack spruce soundboard with Adirondack braces, Premium & hand selected Madagascar Rosewood known to be the closest thing and according to many- equal in tone-quality to Brazilian rosewood, Mahogany neck, ivoroid bound ebony fingerboard with style 45 snowflake inlays, ebony bridge with snowflake inlays, abalone leaf inlaid tortoise color "teardrop" pickguard, gold waverly tuners, Abalone style 45 trim around Soundboard, fingerboard extension, side-inlays and back-inlays, old style 45 mosaic back inlay centre-strip and of course the very rare T-Bar neck construction and Full hide glue package similar to the way the pre-war Martin guitars were constructed. A Odd feature perhaps is the C Shape neck profile, by many preferred to the Vintage V style. It's combined to 45.2mm (1 3/4") widht at the nut, 645mm (25.4") scale length and 61 mm (2 2/5") stringspacing at the bridge. It's safe to say this guitar is one of the rarest and most luxurious and probably best sounding OM models in the world. This guitar is made with only one thing in mind, trying to recreate one of the most impressive Martin guitars ever made.

A 45 style is never like a 28 with 'glitters' but a guitar of a total different order, made with the best woods available at the Martin Plant, and made by the best hands available. Officially a total of 32 OM-45 Deluxe guitars were produced over the last say 80 years, maybe a handful custom shop guitars, but i doubt if a technical more pre-war accurate OM-45 Deluxe reissue has ever been produced before. This instrument lists these days at around $30,000. (equal in €, once imported). Pre-owned but mint condition. Comes with original case.

Including: Martin Geib case, 1 year TFOA used item guarantee.

Condition Key: Mint conditoin.

ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
