Martin / OM-45GE 1933 Golden Era (2001) Brazilian Rosewood Adirondack Spruce / 2001 / Natural / Guitar
Between the year 2001 and 2003 Martin created a small number of Golden Era Guitars made from their finest stock of Old Growth Brazilian Rosewood and Highest quality 8-Grade Adirondack Spruce. This is one of the first to leave the factory. The OM-45GE 1933, represents the ultimate of Martins Craftsmanship. Its not just another luxurious guitar, but it is also made with the finest woods by Martin's finest most experienced master-builders. The OM-45GE maybe considered among the rarest of all Martins ever made and is very collectible.
We don't know the exact number made of these, but we guess one in every 6,7 or 8 must have been a OM-45GE model. The 45 batch being around 160 units it means only some 20 were ever made. This OM-45 GE dates back to 2001, and it's a very rare example, with virtually perfect straight grain quarter-sawn back and sides combined to a perfect wide to small grain Adirondack top. Is it rare, yes it's rare find a OM45GE, it's even rarer to find one with such perfect woods.
For all of you that don't know already, straight grain Brazilian rosewood is rarely found and considered tonally superior to curly grain, the same goes for Adirondack that is grained wide on the sides to small in the centre. It's a rarely seen quality, even on the 45GE series. The guitar is near mint condition, and pratically shows no signs of use, only some superficial angelhair weather-checking on the back, that is if you hold her under the microscope. This Martin is a true collector and very rare to come by. I comes with an earlier George Gruhn appraisal (not in the pictures for privacy reasons). This guitar is of a rare collectible quality, since it's expected never to be made again, Martin OM-45 models from the thirties are sold for significant sums, sometimes over a million $, since only a handful were made. At the end of the Golden era Martin discontinued the model, and only reissued it once; with this 1933 OM-45GE model. Also, only a handful of these were reissued, meaning this guitar is a guarranteed investment on the long term, Included is all the original case candy, original case, and Gruhn Appraisal.

The Fellowship Of Acoustics, Netherlands
ABOUT US
I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
