National / Glenwood 95 / 1962 / Red / Guitar
Every now then, I get stumped. I normally have a story to tell or an experience to share about a guitar because it just evokes it. Now this guitar on the other hand brings me nothing, or does it? It is truly an anomaly: A departure from that which is the norm. This guitar is like the Benicio Del Torro of the guitar world- you know the face, but you just can't place the name. This guitar is the same thing. You recognize the guitar, but you just can't remember the model number and you see friends, that's the brilliance of it. I know, Ray and I literally worship at the alter of the mighty Les Paul. We belong to more forums and write more stories than Janet Jackson has costume malfunctions, but don't you see, that's exactly when you get up on stage a play "Dazed and Confused" with a Glenwood 95 like this one. Why? Because you are just different and different is sometimes a good thing. This National has more soul than a soul food restaurant and one from the 70's at that. More attitude than Kanye West in a room full of paparazzi and more buttery tone than a box of popcorn in the hands of Pee Wee Herman. It's cool, functional and of course, all original. What more could you ask for? Well, I think she belonged to George Clooney... until recently.
