PRS / McCarty Archtop II Carved Maple / 1998 / Guitar

The PRS McCarty Archtop II Carved Maple from 1998 is certainly a guitar with a special look. She is a beautiful archtop with a depth of 10 centimeters(3.94 inch)! A unique piece, since this guitar has only been in construction for 3 years. She was built in limited timespan between 1998 and 2001 and there are only a few still on the market. The special thing about this version is that she is an archtop from PRS and not a hollowbody. It is made of the highest quality woods, the body of which is a solid piece of mahogany and the top carved maple. Finished with immensely beautiful maple bindings, she is at the top of 'High-End' in appearance. She is considered one of the best models by PRS themselves, so much that she has been on display in the lobby of the PRS factory for some time. She is equipped with a duo of PRS McCarty Humbuckers specially designed for the model. With a volume and tone control, a 3-way pickup selector toggle switch, all-gold hardware, PRS tuners and the PRS Adjustable Stoptail, you could say she is well covered in the hardware department. The colors compliment each other well and the sound and control are hard to compare with other archtops. She has a spacious body that is not often seen at PRS. With a depth at the bridge of 10 centimeters (2.75 inch), it is deeper than any other PRS guitar we have seen. The bridge is supported by a block of mahogany, which keeps it stable and shows a lot of sustain. After 22 years she is still in excellent condition. She only has a small ding between the two pickups, where further down the body only the minimal playwear can be seen. Includes case. Consignment. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
