The Paul Reed Smith 1980 West Street Limited Edition guitar is a recreation of the first guitar built by PRS. Featuring a Sapelle top, mahogany body, 25" scale, and 24 frets, the 1980 West Street Limited Edition is named after the location where Paul Reed Smith built his first instruments. A distinctive dragon inlay is located below the bridge, and bird inlays grace the fretboard. The headstock inlay is similar to that on the Santana model. Limited to a run of 300 guitars worldwide in total, the 1980 West Street Limited Edition is a collectable piece of PRS history, with artist grade Sapelle wood top, pre-factory dragon inlay on the top of the body, small original eagle on the headstock, Mahogany neck with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, green heart abalone bird inlays and Santana II electronics.
Features include: solid mahogany body with Artist grade quilted Sapelle top, small pre-factory version dragon inlaid on top of body in green ripple paua, 24 fret mahogany neck with Santana II carve with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, 43mm (1 11/16") nut width, 622mm (24.5") scale length, 11.5" fretboard radius,green abalone bird inlays and small headstock eagle, quilted-Sapelle headstock veneer, Brazilian rosewood truss rod cover with green heart abalone "OM" symbol, Santana II electronics with zebra bobbin, 1980 Weststreet bridge and neck pickups, PRS Phase II mini tuners with large buttons, non-plated PRS tremolo (no back plate is part of design), "1980 West St. Limited" on back of headstock, with certificate and original case and Case Candy, in Mint condition
