PRS Paul Reed Smith / Cody Kilby Private Stock Signature, Adirondack-Cocobolo, / 2013 / Guitar

PRS, Paul Reed Smith, Cody Kilby Private Stock signature, Adirondack-Cocobolo, OHC, COA, new

From his beginning as a bluegrass prodigy to his current role as lead guitarist in Ricky Skagg’s band Kentucky Thunder, Cody Kilby’s distinctive, visionary voice as a guitarist has always stood apart from the pack. A fan of PRS acoustic guitars since their introduction, Kilby has now worked with PRS to develop a very special Private Stock model. The Cody Kilby Private Stock acoustic features a PRS Tonare Grand body perimeter with a shallower PRS Angelus depth, PRS’s proprietary hybrid X bracing pattern, and a “Traditional” inlay pattern (only available on the Cody Kilby model). Private Stock options available to customers include top, back and side, neck, and fingerboard wood from the famed Private Stock Vault.

The Tuners made by Keith Robson are fully hand-made and they cost a small fortune, but with every turn you feel the quality of these tuners.

This guitar has a huge sound, reminds of a wizard mix of the best European and American Guitars like Lowden, McIlroy, Ryan and Olson, with a big and chimey very defined tone, drop tunings are made easy on this guitar, the deeper body supports any style of playing, from fingerpicking to strumming, i can imagine fast picking, overtone piano like things on it, but we already noticed at the first Tonare Grand, they are unlike the other medium jumbo guitars very suitable for bluegrass picking also! Impressively strong and loud, next to being Chimey and Celtic. In my opinion PRS looked not only to an old Torres Guitar, but equally well to James Olson and George Lowden because their guitars are likely among the best on the market these days. Comes with a Deluxe Ameritage Case, and includes full warranty, 21% BTW/MWST/VAT .

ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
