Lee and I have always loved these early PRS guitars. There is just something about the quality of the early maple tops, combined with the Brazilian fretboards that make them special. The short heel, sweet switch and small signature are also features that set these guitars apart from everything that came afterwards and as with both Gibson and Fender, nothing they've ever made is really as desirable as "the early ones". The T & B pickups in this '87 are sweet and fat sounding- anyone who is a collector of these pre- 1990 CU24's already knows the tone they produce and we've seen guys purchase later model CU 24's and put these pickups in them, just to get that vintage tone.
