With this instrument, Parker has produced what may be the perfect guitar trifecta in terms of versatility and performance. It combines the traditional tones of an S-S-H setup, the added chime and bite of a Piezo system and the sheer enjoyment and wizardry of a midi-compatible output. In other words, it's time to have some fun!
In the test runs on this Midi Fly, it was quickly obvious how many tones and combinations you can get with the flick of a toggle switch or the twist of a control. The DiMarzio pickups are as rowdy as untamed colts and the Fishman piezo is crisp and articulate. I especially like the sound of the bridge pickup blended with a smidgen of piezo mixed in. Makes it nice and growly, with a bit of "chime" on top.
The action is low and effortless. We cleaned the fretboard and restrung the guitar with a fresh set of 9s. The plastic is still on the pickguard and we left it as original- it could easily be removed if you so desired. The body is in excellent condition, having three noticeable doinks, as pictured.
