Paul Reed Smith / PRS Angelus Cutaway Adirondack Cocobolo / 2012 / Guitar

PRS Angelus Cutaway made in 2012 and designed by Steve Fischer. Steve Fischer has worked at McPherson Guitars, then he headed up the design of PRS Acoustic Guitars, these days he's building instruments under his private label. He has always focussed on innovative modern designs for the demanding player. The Angelus Cutaway can nowadays only be ordered as 'private stock'. Not that there is much competition or difference with this earlier Angelus, only the price is sigificantly higher. This is possibly the best Mix between european guitars like for instant the Lowden O50c and american guitars like made by Olson or Ryan. The comfortable guitar measuring between an OM (15") and a Dreadnought (16") at 40cm or 15 1/2" at the lower bout width. This Angelus is topped with an Adirondack spruce top, back and sides are crafted out of stunning Cocobolo Rosewood. Other features include cocobolo headstock veneer, rosewood/maple bindings and purflings, finished with the proprietary PRS shatter-hard all Nitro finish, PRS bird inlays on the cocobolo fingerboard, with cocobolo binding and matching maple purfling and matching headstock outlay, Cocobolo - Mother of Pearl rosette, luxurious but not excessive. The neck is chunky and comfortable and very easy to play, Mastermade Tuners by Keith Robson from the UK. This guitar has a huge sound, reminds of a mix of Jim Olson and George Lowden guitars, still with that superb American strumming quality, but also with a defined and chimney quality quite unique for american guitars, where drop tunings are easy and fingerstyle a joy. A super rare combination of qualities where this medium jumbo guitars effortlessly swings from strumming to piano clear fingerstyle to bluegrass picking. Strong, Punchy, powerful and refined all at once. Guitar is in excellent condition but for a few nailmarks and 2 retouches under the bridge, and some tiny dings on the top. Comes in the original very luxurious PRS / Ameritage case, and built in LR Baggs pickup with 2 batterys. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
