Paul Reed Smith / Santana II / 2000 / Teal Black / Guitar For Sale
Though their association started in the late 70’s, it took Paul Reed Smith and Carlos Santana 20 years to finally put the Santana Model together, cementing the association that continues to this day.
Featuring the classic combination of maple and mahogany, the Santana II upped the ante by incorporating highly flamed maple into the construction along with a flatter 11.5” radius and the wide fat neck. The II also introduced the Gibson inspired toggle switch, usurping the dual toggle switches found on the original.
This guitar is in near MINT condition. As with all high end Paul Reed Smith guitars, the high gloss finish is an exquisite showcase for the mahogany and flamed maple cap. The only blemish is a little bubble near the strap button but otherwise the guitar is in mint condition.
As with the body, the neck is in stunning condition with no sign of any wear to either the fretboard or the frets and the rosewood face of the headstock is in great condition too.All the beautiful inlays look amazing including the abalone on the top.
Hardware is slightly tarnished purely due to age but is otherwise in fine condition. The plastics too are very clean.
Electrically everything looks correct with both original Santana pickups still present.
Guitar comes with its correct PRS hardshell leather case
This guitar plays wonderfully, a trait inherent in all PRS guitars. The guitar has an incredible sustain, surely helped by the brass block under the tremolo. The pair of Santana pickups yield a wide palette of tones. This one comes of course with the classic Santana, wide and fat neck.
Another stunning example of the work produced by the team at PRS, grab it before it gets away…
