Poljakoff / S-D / Guitar

Jakob Poljakoff is one of the most promising young luthiers in the world today, he is from Berlin, Germany. Jakob Has been building guitars for a couple of years now and according to reviews of some experts his work is of a very high level. For example Cor Mutsers and Lenny Kuhr play on guitars that were built by Jakob. His guitars have those typical European minimalistic looks, but the workmanship is of the highest caliber. The impressive tone quality makes you think of the guitars of Stefan Sobell, and his detailing is truly magnificent. This is a beautiful Small Jumbo and like all his previous builds, another incredible instrument. The construction is unique, in which the complexity of the headstock construction stands out - in Stauffer style - glued to the neck, in our world, the best method, but very labor-intensive, it offers an increased sustain and even more solid construction than a one piece neck (of course a rather expensive method, that is why it is isn't used for factory built guitars). Also noteworthy is the raised fretboard, a technique more often used in classical guitars, but perfectly in place on this instrument. The Poljakoff S-D is the first MJ model that Jakob built, and according to Jakob the best sounding one until this day. Impressive in its understated beauty and a masterpiece of tone and sound, and impeccably finished, both on the inside and outside. Every piece of bracing is perfectly sanded and every cosmetic aspect has been perfectly detailed. The body is made of Indian Rosewood with an oil varnish, the top is made of Spruce with French Polish finish. It has a Mahogany neck, Ebony fretboard and Gotoh 510 tuners, it has 57mm string spacing, 45mm nutwidth and an Ebony string-through bridge. Includes Hiscox Hardshell case. Price including VAT and Limited lifetime warranty.

ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
