Up for your consideration is this super old real parlor guitar - Hecha En Cadiz Por Miguel Coto from 1847.
Miguel Coto Morejon was born in Cadiz on 10 October 1813, son of Miguel Coto from Sevilla and Maria Josefa Morejon from Cadiz. He married Gertrudis Rodriguez in 1834, and they had two daughters. He began his working life as a carpenter. In 1844, they were living at Calle de los Carros 97, the address on the label of your guitar, and appears to have become a guitar maker by this time. In 1850 he was registered as living at calle Carros 52. In 1853, he was again at calle Carros 97. In 1855, the widowed, Miguel Coto remarried, Maria de los Dolores Dominguez Arevalo. In 1856, he moved his workshop to Calle Reinosa 62; and then to Calle Carros 62 in 1858. In 1861, he was at Calle Angel 4; in 1862, at calle Jesus, Maria, y Jose 4, where he continued to work until 1873. (From Jose L Romanillos Vega & Marian Winspear 2002.
