Made in the United States, this PRS S2 Custom 22 is a stripped-down version of the standard Custom 22. It can be considered an ideal solid body electric guitar between a Fender© Stratocaster© (double cutaway, traditional vibrato) and a Gibson© Les Paul© from which it takes many of the same characteristics (mahogany body and glued neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, double-coil pickups). With its 25" hybrid scale length and its Pattern Regular neck profile, it is particularly pleasant to play.
Sound-wise, it is excellent: warm, expressive tones and versatility thanks to its splittable double/single-coil pickups.
This S2 Custom 22 is undeniably impeccably made, which is not surprising when you know that PRS is acclaimed for the consistency in the quality of its productions. Superb woods, top-notch assembly and finishes.
