From our very personal guitar collection comes this very special travel sized Bass guitar, for those who know the name Paul Bigsby…yes he is the inventor of the famous Vibrato which adorns so many guitars past & present, Mr.Bigsby also was a guitar builder & designed some of the most beautiful solid body guitars during the crucial beginnings of time in the late 40’s along with Leo Fender & Les Paul, during the last 5 decades, many luthiers copied Mr.Bigsby’s designs & incorporated them into their own guitars, R.C.Allen was one of the most well known luthiers to utilize Mr.Bigsby’s visions to do a few exclusive guitars & basses, this particular Bass uses some very beautiful & colorful American Walnut for its body & 7 piece neck-thru design, its Bigsby shaped headstock sports a pearl inlaid R.C.Allen logo, it is equipped with a single 4-pole Humbucking pickup that sounds bright & funky, it is a 1-off special order for a special client as a travel sized alternative to a full sized bass, it was way ahead of its time as portable sized guitars & basses are all the rage today, it is ultra rare & a piece of American Guitar History, certainly a great investment w/nomore ever to be made as Mr.Allen passed away just a few years back, it is all original & in exceptionally clean condition, she comes with a nice gig bag.
