Red Rocket Guitars / Commander / 2016 / Tobacco Burst / Guitar For Sale
This is a prototype of my Commander model and is bargain priced to move quickly, I've decided to sell some used, demo and prototype guitars to get a few projects moving that need a push. So grab a bargain while they're here, feel free to make an offer or even suggest a trade (I'd be interested in cool boutique or vintage items that need some work). These won't last long at these prices because I've got a bunch of new ideas that I want to get moving, head 'em up, move 'em out! This is one of the last sale pieces I'll be listing, only have one or two more coming, make an offer and grab a deal while you can.
Here's the low down on this great guitar
Body: Chambered Mahogany with Ash top, double bound with Pearloid and my signature checker purfling, beautiful swirled Mahogany back
Pickups: Lindy Fralin Big Singles, got a big ass tone, single coil punch and attack!
Neck: 3 pc Roasted Flame Maple, dual carbon rods, double action truss rod, Roasted Birdseye Maple fingerboard, pocketed stainless steel frets, 12" radius, .88-.94" soft V to med C neck profile, hand carved bone nut, slick and easy to play, very comfortable! Birdseye headplate, Chechen heel plate, satin oil finish, 25.5" scale
Tuners: TonePros Kluson Deluxe vintage style with celluloid knobs
Bridge: TonePros Tune O Matic
Hardware: chrome, black plastic knobs, Pearloid covers and pickguard
Electronics: 3 way toggle switch, CTS, switchcraft, very quiet!
Finish: Tobacco Burst top, Black Sides, Bourbon Pearl back, gloss on body
And it's a great light weight too, 7.4lbs!
Case: G&G custom fit leather trim hard case
So here's the scoop on this beauty, it is a prototype for a set neck Commander model and the final production model ended up changing a couple details in the shape and curves. So this is essentially a unique one off guitar in new condition. There are a couple very minor finish issues that no one would notice but me, literally can't even pick them up with the camera. It was used a few times to demo for clients and now it's time for it to find a forever home.
Otherwise it is in near perfect condition in all other respects. I have personally done a FULL set up and check of everything. For all intents and purposes this is a new guitar and ready to go. I will also give a full lifetime warranty on this one, see my website for more details. The normal cost on something like this would be around $3750 new so grab this deal while it's hot.
This guitar has a beautiful Tobacco Burst finish on top, Black sides with a Bourbon Pearl finish on the back showing off the figured mahogany. It also includes all our super-custom touches like the sculpted and pocketed stainless frets (no fret ends like a bound neck), "above and beyond" neck setup and fret work for speed and comfort
Grab it while you can and check back to see a few other insane deals coming in the near future!
Thanks,
Matt

Matt Nowicki – Luthier
I’m the one who chooses the lumber, wires the parts, does the cutting, sanding, painting, polishing and I’ve got the splinters to prove it. Many years ago I got a degree in sculpture and, after a few fantastically lucrative years (insert sarcasm…), ended up in London ad agencies as the guy who could draw and knew how to use the brand new (at the time) Macs. I worked as a creative and photographer in ad and design agencies, honing a sense of balance and proportion and how to add that funky, eye-catching little detail. I was eventually drawn back to working with my hands on real objects for real people and guitars became the perfect canvas.
“Guitars are intensely personal and have so much incredible history behind them. And let’s face it, they’re just plain fun. I love thinking up new combinations of colors, wood, and sound and seeing the instrument emerge at the end into something that has a life of its own.”
