1936 Regal Dobro 27 resonator, original Case, sunburst, ec
This is wonderful and circa 1937 Regal Dobro 27 round neck. Regal produced Dobro guitars throughout the 1930's and also had a line of its own, similar to the Dobro 27 with the exception of the headstock shape. Square on a Regal branded Guitar, and curved on a Dobro branded guitar. Otherwise they are the same with similar phenomenal old wood tone quality. This Dobro is finished in tobacco sunburst, and like all Dobro's of that time show a dark stained back and sides. Both top and back are bound, and the top shows F-holes instead of indicating it's made after 1935. The 3 on the plate tuners are original, but the knobs are changed. The patent number on the cover plate also shows it's made after 1933. Excellent condition with modest wear only and impressive sounding. With original Cardboard case.
