The Rickenbacker 325 model is 1 of the most quintessential Beatle guitars ever being a 3/4 size with 3 bright pickups & a Vibrato unit. It’s amazing how petite this guitar actually is when compared to a std. 330-360. John Lennon brought this 3/4 scale Rick 325 to the forefront of their success. Small enough to sit with & write music…its jang-a-lie tone was pure bliss. This is an unusual 320 model from November 1977 (w/its “QK” serial # date code) & was an early special order made with a solid top, hence an “S” model designation having no F-Hole as Johns original 325’s from 1958 & 1964. This solid top is something that Rick standardized by 1979 making the F-hole an option. It’s Jetglo finish is ultra clean w/very little aging for a 54 year old. Its got 3 Hi-Gain pickups w/an “R” Tailpiece & no vibrato hence…the 320S model. Its 3 Hi-Gain pickups are powerful w/its intricate 60’s “Chang” tones like no Strat nor any Les Paul has. She’s sporting her original double White pickgards w/a matching White Truss Rod Cover. Its pots codes date to the 37th week of 1977. Its marked inside its control cavity “320” in pencil. Its Individual double-line Kluson Deluxe tuners with oval metal buttons are near perfect shape. Its sports 5 chrome capped Black Volume & Tone knobs. By 1982 Rick was making some exact replicas that clients were requesting but this 320S was a magical trip back in time that may be the 1st production Solid Top 320 made since the early 60’s. It’s surely near mint & comes in its original 3/4 size Black hard case.
