Beautiful Mapleglo finish, 1 Toaster rythem pickup & the ultra desirable "Horseshoe" lead pickup,this is a 1st generation pre-stereo 4001 bass w/"Mono" electronics, all the goodies like "Checkerboard" binding & Crushed Pearlinlays, nice original single layer White pickgard w/clear Lucite thumbrest, serial # HF for June 1968, this is equipped withan early small lead pickup surround & extended pickgard, it has a slight repair by the nut where the typical delamination ofthe fingerboard seperates from the maple neck, otherwise all is original, this is the ultimate 4001 Bass, exc+; ohsc.
