Rickenbacker / 4005 Bass / 1967 / Mapleglo / Bass

This is the find of a bass players lifetime !, this gorgeous specimen is 1 of about 30 4005 hollow bodied Basses ever made over a period of 4 years from 1965 thru 1968, its Mapleglo finish is nothing short of stunning & shows only the slightest wear, its carved maple top has a ton a grain & color like no other example wehave seen, its 2-piece maple back has some nice “bubble” figuring & is complimented by its perfect checkerboard binding, its fingerboard exhibits no wear & its crushed pearl inlays are sparkling like its new, its 2 “Toaster” pickups are punchy & funky, its single layer White pickgard is as clean as the rest including its Lucite thumb rest & 5 chrome capped knobs, this is surely the best example of an all original 4005 we have seen in the last decade, it is truly “Near Mint” & certainly museum quality & we do not use those terms lightly,  it comes with an c.1970 Black tolex/Blue lined hard case.
