Rickenbacker / 450 / 1967 / Fireglo / Guitar

Through-neck, crest of the wave body shape, toaster pickups, is there no more iconic combination? Debuting in 1958, the 450 stayed in production until 1986, and though not the most famous of its siblings did make appearances in the hands of such luminaries as Fred ’Sonic’ Smith of the MC5, Viv Albertine of the Slits and a certain George Harrison…

The guitar is in good condition. The body has a few scratches but  nothing that detracts from the overall look of the guitar. There is no sign of touchup and the finish is very vibrant.

The neck too is in great condition, the lacquer on the fretboard shows signs of wear and its been recently refretted and a new nut installed but otherwise its in great shape.

The pickguard has a crack near the neck pickup on the bass side but there is no sign of any other issues.

Hardware is in good condition and free of any corrosion.

Electrically everything looks to be correct with no sign of solder being disturbed.

The guitar comes with the original Rickenbacker hardshell case

If it's a Ricky, it's got to be jangly and that's certainly the case here. Both pickups offer a wide palette of tones, all articulate and great for those Roger McGuinn-esque picked passages.

Sometimes only a Rickenbacker will do. Grab this one before it gets away.
