Rozawood / D-45 Brazilian With CITES / 2013 / Guitar

Rozawood D-45 superdeluxe (New) Brazilian Rosewood-Alpine Spruce, Case

Rozawood D-45 Super-deluxe Presentation made by Roman Zajicek. There are so many amazing details on this unique guitar that it is hard to find beginning, the use of amazingly grained Ancient Brazilian Rosewood back and sides combined to Ancient Alpine Spruce for the top, of course the Brazilian comes with a CITES permit. The Brazilian Rosewood is likely cut in the 1930;s and the Alpine spruce is even older, likely these marvellous tone-woods started maturing somewhere at the end of the roaring 20's, aged further through the rough war-times, the cold war, and blossoming sixties until somewhere in around the year 2000 Roman Zajicek got hold of it.

This guitar being special is a vast understatement, made by Master-luthier Roman Zajicek, to my humble opinion one of the most intriguing Luthiers alive today. His resonator guitars are among others played by Rob Ickes & Jerry Douglas, and his name slowly begins to settle in the tight & traditional bluegrass & country scene.  And it's deserved, his guitars and resonators easily are among the finest you can find on planet Earth. Technically enhanced, made on the highest possible level, modern in a way, using for instant an interpretation of the old Martin style T bar in modern shape, with two carbon fibre standing rods- combined to a two way trussrod that makes the neck adjustable, but also with Full Hide glue construction, and evolved bracing pattern.

A masterpiece, no doubt, One of the most intriguing and fancy dreadnought guitars on the planet, except maybe for the 100.000$ listed Martin D-100, basically a super-deluxe version of a D-45 model, with one of the most amazing Brazilian Rosewood I ever laid eyes on, with amazing features like the hand carved abalone &  Mother of Pearl tree of life fingerboard, Full style 45 trim in colourful Paua Abalone matching the beautiful rosewood binding around the body, fingerboard and headstock, headstock and fingerboard are impressively detailed, the headstock is a match in colourful Brazilian with the amazing back, sides with a trim of Abalone and decorated with a beautiful Abalone & Pearl Flowerpot inlay matching the tree of life, on the back of the headstock Engraved Waverly tuners and the abalone & Pearl Rozawood banner logo is showing of to the player. But for people like me who have a thing with wood, one of the most amazing features is probably the very rarely found impressively flamed Honduras Mahogany neck.  Other features include a beautifully inlaid pickguard, inlaid polished ebony bridge, and gold & abalone inlaid end-piece.

This Rozawood D Model comes with a unique X bracing with razor thin scalloped braces, a second x is reinforcing the neck, This unique bracing pattern is although closely related to what Martin, Collings &  Santa Cruz allowing for just a bit more resonance, and a bit more crispness in the bass response, it simply makes the top swing just a little more on the right places. This guitar is detailed inside and out, check the many pictures my daughter made of it. Tonally this guitar is exceptionally brutal & loud when you ask for it but also exceptionally colourful and refined when played fingerstyle, responsive to a light touch. But for flat-pickers, it must be be ultimate canon, since she has exceptionally powerful treble-response, a powerful mid and a magic crispness in the deep growling bass that is unheard with plenty of headroom.

Features include 645mm(25.4") scale length, 43mm (1 11/16") nut width and 57.2mm(2 1/4") string spacing at the Saddle, the neck is a very soft V shape, Mammoth ivory nut and saddle, ebony pins with Abalone dots. Comes with a deluxe Professional and sturdy Hiscox Pro-Case with green interior.

ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
